What The Springfield Singers Do

A women's choir for all voices — singing with heart since 1984

Our Giving History

Our choir is about more than just music — it's about giving back. Each year, we raise money for a chosen charity through sharing the joy of music with everyone. We are passionate about outreach and supporting local meaningful causes through our fundraising and performances; we aim to uplift, connect, and contribute to something greater.

In 2024, our efforts raised £300 for The Forest Foodbank, helping provide essential support to local people in need. Each year's cause is chosen with care, reflecting our commitment to making a meaningful difference in our community.

Vietnam Cultural Exchange 2025

Student in Vietnam

This year, we have sponsored a cultural exchange trip for one of the students who designed this website as part of her university course. She travelled to Hanoi, Vietnam on a cultural collaboration trip through the university. It was an incredible opportunity to build global connections through education and learning, here's what they had to say:

"Vietnam was an amazing experience, having the opportunity to give a presentation in Vietnam was a dream come true and I really appreciate the support given by The Springfield Singers"

Supporting Young Musicians 2025

We like to offer opportunities to young musicians from the Forest to gain experience in performance — whatever the instrument, whether as part of a career timeline or simply for enjoyment.

We are always eager to hear new talent, and when we come across young musicians, we love to invite them to share the stage with us. There's no formal process — just the joy of giving them a chance to shine in front of an audience, with the support of the choir behind them.

Young musicians

Whenever we feature a young musician, you'll always find their name on our posters and programmes. It's our way of celebrating their talent. Keep an eye on our upcoming events to see who might be joining us next, or come along to support someone you know as they take to the stage.

Featured Charity 2025

Read for Good logo

This year, the Springfield Singers are proud to support Read for Good as our chosen charity for 2025. Their work inspires a love of reading in children and young people by giving them access to a vibrant selection of brand-new books and the encouragement to discover the joy of storytelling.

We believe that the arts — whether in the form of music, literature, or performance — have the power to enrich lives, spark creativity, and build confidence. Supporting Read for Good allows us to help nurture the imagination and creativity of the next generation.

"At Read for Good, we are ensuring children and young people have ACCESS to a wide and vibrant CHOICE of the best brand new books, and we provide the all-important INSPIRATION to help them discover a life-changing love of reading."

We are always looking for inspiring causes to support each year as our chosen charity. If you know of a local organisation or project that could benefit from our help, we'd love to hear from you. Simply click Ask a Question below to get in touch with us.
